1. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to create and protect your account, process transactions and provide support. This can include your name, email address, phone number, encrypted password, wallet and order records, recipient phone numbers, meter or smart-card details you enter, and technical information such as browser and security logs.
2. How we use information
We use your information to authenticate you, operate your wallet, deliver data, airtime and bill-payment services, prevent fraud, resolve failed transactions, provide customer support, improve TopupNest and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
3. Service providers
We share only the information necessary to complete a service with trusted processors and suppliers. These include Paystack for payments, Resend for account emails, our airtime and data suppliers, bill-payment providers, and Cloudflare for secure hosting and database infrastructure. Their own privacy terms may also apply.
4. Payment information
TopupNest does not store your full card number or card PIN. Paystack processes payment details on its secure checkout. We store transaction references, amounts and payment status so we can reconcile and support your wallet funding.
5. Storage and security
Passwords are salted and hashed. Account sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. We use access controls, encryption in transit and transaction records to protect customer data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We keep account and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet financial or legal record-keeping duties. We remove or anonymise information when it is no longer required.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of eligible personal information. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required by applicable Nigerian law. Contact us using the details on our Contact page.
8. Cookies
We use an essential session cookie to keep you securely logged in. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
9. Updates
We may update this policy as our services change. We will publish the revised effective date on this page.
